Prime Minister promises to help find solutions for „BinDawood Holding“ to invest in the Lithuanian dairy industry

“Lithuania is a safe and reliable country for investments, and foreign investments in our country are welcome. We are ready to jointly seek solutions that would help investors successfully implement their plans. Lithuania can offer not only a safe environment but also talented, qualified employees,” said Mindaugas Sinkevičius in a statement after meeting with the head of BinDawood Holding, Ahmad BinDawood, on Thursday.

According to the Government’s statement, it was agreed at the meeting to continue the dialogue and more thoroughly assess the possibilities of implementing investments. In the near future, representatives of Lithuanian institutions and BinDawood Holding will continue working talks.

On Thursday, the head of BinDawood Holding also met with the Minister of Agriculture, Kęstutis Mažeika.

As BNS reported, A. BinDawood said after the meeting that the company is considering opportunities to invest in a new factory in Lithuania or to purchase food products from Lithuanian companies and emphasized that the group is particularly interested in Lithuania’s dairy sector.

By the end of 2025, BinDawood Holding had 103 stores, and the group employs more than 13,000 employees. Its main activity is the trade of daily consumer goods, fresh food, and non-food products.

BinDawood Holding manages the brands BinDawood, Danube, BinDawood Dash, Danube Dash, IACo, and Ykone, according to the company’s website.
