At “Maxima,” the reduction of regular grocery prices continues. This time, the regular prices of over 500 selected fresh food products have been further lowered, which from now on – are always like during a promotion. Among them – even 300 products are available to customers in the smallest size, one X, in “Maxima” stores.

“This is a continuation of the long-term low-price strategy started in spring. We keep the promise made to customers to ensure regular low prices for everyday food products at ‘Maxima’ every day, without waiting for promotions.

Therefore, now, considering the list of products that make up a very significant part of our customers’ baskets and are purchased daily, we have selected over 500 essential fresh food products whose regular prices we are lowering even further.
The new regular prices are cut down from the regular prices already reduced in spring, when a price reduction revolution took place in the network, with over 9,000 different food products’ regular prices reduced by up to 25% at once,” says Marius Tilmantas, Director of the Purchasing Department at “Maxima.”
Which products’ regular prices have been further reduced?
Today, continuing the reduction of regular prices, the regular prices of fresh food products further lowered are:
- milk,
- butter,
- cream,
- fermented cheese,
- packaged bread,
- sausages,
- small sausages,
- and all fresh pork, including both weighed and packaged.

According to M. Tilmantas, these are some of the most relevant products, purchased daily by more than half of the customers visiting “Maxima,” with over 400,000 customers shopping at the network’s stores across Lithuania every day.

For example, from today, the new regular price of the popular 82% fat “Rokiškis” butter (200 g) is 1.59 Eur instead of the previous 2.49 Eur, and 1 kg of chilled weighed pork shoulder without bone and skin will now cost 2.29 Eur instead of the usual 3.49 Eur.
“Large-scale price reductions do not happen overnight; preparation to ensure attractive regular prices for customers takes time. Thanks to the efforts made, today we can offer even lower prices for selected fresh food products, investing at our own expense,” adds M. Tilmantas.
Price tags – old and new regular prices
In the new reduced regular product prices in the milk, meat, and bread categories, customers’ attention will be drawn to special price tags showing both the old and new regular prices. It is expected that clearly indicating the difference will help understand the real changes in the regular prices of specific products in the network.

*The Director of the Purchasing Department at “Maxima” adds that this product list, whose regular prices are further reduced, does not include sliced sausage, fresh pork sausages, marinated pork, and all private label products “Pormet,” “Farm Milk,” and “Malūnas.”
It is reminded that “Maxima” started the new long-term low-price strategy in March by announcing a price reduction revolution, motivated by the fact that the regular price was purchased every second product in the network. “Maxima” is implementing this new long-term low-price strategy in stages, one of the latest being the comparative regular price campaign “Cheaper, therefore tastier.”
