Poles caught a Lithuanian: a stolen car is only part of his problems

According to the report from the Polish border guards, during a temporary control of the border with Germany, on August 10, officers from the Slubice department stopped an “Audi” car with Ukrainian plates arriving from Germany for inspection.

The car was driven by a 42-year-old Lithuanian citizen.

It quickly became clear that the case was not ordinary: the documents presented by the driver showed different numbers than those on the car itself. After checking the system, officers found out that the car was stolen in Germany.

During the search of the car, a bag with suspected narcotic substances, weed, was also found. The driver had to undergo a test for psychotropic substances in the body, which showed that the man was intoxicated with drugs.

Thus, the Lithuanian was detained, suspected of theft, and faces up to five years in prison.

The car is not cheap, its value is about 23 thousand euros (about 100 thousand zlotys). It was placed in a secured parking lot.
