“Thanks to the cooperation between our and Ukraine’s services, we managed to prevent a direct threat to one of the border control points,” said D. Tusk.
He did not provide more detailed information about the nature of the threat that arose during the night and did not specify the exact border control point.
“We expect actions of this kind against border control points with Ukraine and other countries, including Poland,” said the prime minister. “Unfortunately, we received a prelude to this during the night. Everything ended well, but we must be prepared for various provocations of this kind.”

As an example of such a threat, the Polish prime minister cited a recent Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian side near the border with Moldova.
According to Ukrainian officials, on Wednesday Russian drones struck the Starokozache border control point, killing two civilians and injuring three others.
