The parade that began at noon in Warsaw features nearly 2,000 Polish soldiers, more than 300 military vehicles, and over 60 aircraft, reports the portal “TVP World.”

In the morning, Polish President Karol Nawrocki laid a wreath at the monument to one of the creators of modern Poland, Marshal Józef Piłsudski.
Later, Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz laid wreaths at the monument to the Polish wartime leader Wincenty Witos and at the memorial plaque of General Tadeusz Rozwadowski.
The highlight of the ceremonies was the military parade, watched by the president, the defense minister, and other top-ranking Polish officials.

Meanwhile, in Gdynia’s Kosciuszko Square, Prime Minister Donald Tusk was scheduled to speak, and the main highlight of the celebration is an impressive naval parade, which is to include more than 20 Polish and allied military ships.
Armed Forces Day in Poland is celebrated annually on August 15, commemorating the victorious Battle of Warsaw in 1920. The outcome of these events was decisive in preserving Poland’s independence and halting the spread of the Bolshevik revolution into Western Europe.
