A new edition of the Lithuanian Consumer Credit Law will come into effect in November, which removes an exception actively used by telecommunications companies for many years.
As 15min explained, Jaunius Špakauskas, Head of Corporate Communications at “Bitė Lietuva”, until now, purchasing smartphones, which are essentially computers in your pocket, on installment plans from telecommunications companies was not considered consumer credit.
