One of the executives of an important company was found dead in Russia: manages VIP terminals at Moscow airports

The death of the former head of Sheremetyevo Business Aviation Terminal was first reported in June by the newspaper “Moskovsky Komsomolets” (MK). The publication did not mention his name, and the article itself went unnoticed. This week, the name of the deceased was revealed by the “Telegram” channel “VChK-OGPU”.

According to the channel’s data, it is Aleksey Korshenko, who died on June 6. According to “VChK-OGPU” information, he was found dead on a balcony. The cause of death is stated as suicide. The channel notes that the deceased’s friends do not believe the suicide version. MK also stated suicide as the cause of A. Korshenko’s death.

The “Agentstvo” portal found data on A. Korshenko’s personal documents in the leaked information. They were declared invalid from June 6. At the time of his death, the manager was 57 years old. MK also stated the same age.

“Agentstvo” tried to contact A. Korshenko’s relatives on Tuesday, but they did not respond to phone calls or messages via the messaging app.

Deputy Director of an Important Company

As the leaked data examined by “Agentstvo” shows, the man built his career in the aviation sector at least since 1997, when he started working at “Aeroflot”. In 2008, he moved to “Avia Grupp”, a company that manages business terminals at Sheremetyevo and Pulkovo airports.

In 2011, he became the general director of “AG Terminal” – a subsidiary of “Avia Grupp”, which, as RBK wrote, managed Terminal A at Sheremetyevo Airport. This is indicated by “Spark” system data. In 2015, this company was placed on the US sanctions list due to its ties with Gennady Timchenko, and in 2020, it was liquidated. After that, A. Korshenko moved to “Avia Grupp”, where he held the position of deputy general director responsible for ground and terminal services.

The latest information about his workplace in the leaked data is from 2025. At that time, he was still working at “Avia Grupp”. His colleagues told MK journalists that he was fired about three weeks before his death, and this came as a surprise to them.

Who is “Avia Grupp”

This company, operating as a closed joint-stock company, was controlled by structures of Russian President’s friend Gennady Timchenko until 2014, but later, according to his representative, he sold it.

According to “Spark” data, at the end of 2025, “Avia Grupp” received a net profit of 506 million rubles (5.6 million euros).

Since the beginning of 2022, more than two dozen top managers of major companies, including “Gazprom”, “Novatek”, “Lukoil”, and VK, have died in Russia under various, in some cases suspicious, circumstances. The last known such death was that of 42-year-old “Yandex” top manager Sergey Loiter, who died at the end of April: the boat he was on capsized in the Volga River.
