A violation is considered not only failure to follow the doctor’s instructions or missing prescribed procedures, but also the use of alcohol or other psychoactive substances, work, contact studies, participation in cultural, sports or entertainment events, and travel if they may prolong the recovery time.

“So during temporary incapacity for work, it is not allowed to travel either within Lithuania or abroad. Of course, the criterion of reasonableness applies – for example, if a person needs to go to a funeral in another Lithuanian city or handle other very important personal matters, restrictions do not apply.

However, the most important thing is to follow the doctor’s instructions and adhere to their recommendations. Depending on the illness, the doctor may recommend daily walks for one patient and bed rest for another,” explained M. Kozič.
