The Ministry of Defense believes this is another obvious attempt to discredit the Latvian armed forces and NATO.

The military exercises “Baltic Trust 26”, jointly organized by the Latvian National Armed Forces and NATO’s Communications and Information Agency, are currently taking place at the Sēla training ground, the armed forces reported.

The purpose of these exercises is to strengthen the integration of unmanned aerial vehicles and drone defense systems into combat operations, as well as to improve the operational interoperability of various systems.

About 650 participants from Latvia, other NATO member states, and partner countries, including Ukraine, Australia, and Japan, are taking part in the exercises.

Industry representatives from several European Union (EU) countries are also participating in the exercises.
