It is reported that Ukrainians conducted a search and rescue operation on the night of July 22-23, evacuating all 16 crew members – two Syrian and 14 Egyptian citizens – from the burning ship.
Officials confirmed that the rescued crew members were brought ashore and handed over to medical teams. None of them were injured either during the attack or during the evacuation.
