Storm clouds are traveling across Poland, bringing heavy rains and, in some places, impressive hail.

Around 1 PM, thunderstorms were recorded in the regions of Lesser Poland, Subcarpathian, Pomeranian, Warmian-Masurian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, and Silesian voivodeships.
Strong winds are blowing here, with gusts that can reach 25 m/s or even more, and precipitation amounts of 20-40 liters per sq.m. In addition to rain, hail, even 1-2 centimeter ice pellets, also appears in some places.
Members of the Facebook group “Storm Watchers Network” (“Sieć Obserwatorów Burz”) are already sharing storm images. It is stated that the number of storms over Poland is increasing, bringing very heavy rainfall, strong winds, and hail.
One such storm, as shown in the video, passed through the village of Mogilno near Nowy Sącz.
A photo is also shown, taken immediately after the storm, depicting how much hail fell in the Vielopole area, located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.
As warned, storms are expected to intensify in the coming hours, with the most unsafe conditions predicted for the Lesser Poland and Subcarpathian voivodeships, where heavy precipitation is accompanied by extremely strong winds, with gusts that can reach almost 28 m/s.
On Monday, the Polish Government Security Centre issued warnings about strong winds and intense precipitation for residents of four voivodeships – from the morning, areas of Subcarpathian were warned, and later also Lublin, Świętokrzyskie, and Lesser Poland.

Local flooding may also occur here, so people are warned to be careful.
However, by the end of the week, the weather in Poland will have completely changed. A heatwave is then expected here.
According to tvn24.pl, record heat was recorded in Poland at the end of June. On June 28, thermometers in Słubice jumped to as high as 40.5 degrees, which was the highest temperature ever measured in Poland.
It is possible that such scorching heat will return, says tvn24.pl meteorologist Tomasz Wasilewski. He claims to have made these conclusions by analyzing American meteorological models GFS.
According to them, the peak of the heatwave is expected on Friday, July 31, when the heat will surge into Poland and temperatures could reach 38-40 degrees.
The hottest, as predicted, could be in the Lubusz Land and Lower Silesia, as well as the Opole Voivodeship. Very high temperatures – 35-36 degrees – could also be in the central regions of Poland.
However, the heat, as the meteorologist says, will not last long. Already on Saturday, the atmospheric front is said to be moving east, so in most of Poland, temperatures will only reach 27-28 degrees. A few degrees higher will only be in the east and south of the country.
