New neighborhood in Šnipiškės expands: four more houses completed

The district conversion near the city skyscrapers, initiated by the sustainable urban and infrastructure development company “YIT Lietuva” in the “New Skansen” quarter at Linkmenų St. 13, has completed four more houses. Construction continues in the remaining three houses, and apartment sales are starting in the penultimate one – the “Ryto” house.

After completing this stage, the “New Skansen” quarter will consist of 16 residential houses – nine of which have already been built on another part of the plot, Linkmenų St. 15.

All apartments planned in the four recently completed houses were sold even before the construction was finished, says Kęstutis Vanagas, CEO of “YIT Lietuva”.

Another stage completed

In the Linkmenų St. 13 plot, the “Horizonto”, “Vakario”, “Saulynės”, and “Šiaurės” houses have been completed. In total, 135 apartments and 20 commercial premises have been arranged there. Currently, only four commercial premises remain available on the ground floors.

This part of “New Skansen” complements the previously developed area at Linkmenų St. 15, where 9 houses have already been built. A total of 7 houses are planned on the Linkmenų St. 13 plot, four of which are already completed. After finishing the remaining three, the entire “New Skansen” project will consist of 16 residential houses.

A shared underground parking lot with 130 spaces has been installed for the four new houses.

Sales begin for the “Ryto” house

The penultimate house in this project part, “Rytas”, has 26 apartments and 5 commercial premises planned. Buyers are offered 2–4 room apartments ranging from 43 to 83 sq. m, with prices starting from 4200 euros per square meter with partial finishing.

The remaining three houses on the Linkmenų St. 13 plot are planned to be completed in autumn 2027. Sales for the last house – “Pašvaistės” – are planned by “YIT Lietuva” to start this summer.

“New Skansen” is being developed in the central part of Vilnius, near Konstitucijos Avenue and the central city services. Daily services, shopping places, green zones, parks, and bike paths are quickly accessible from the quarter.

However, according to K. Vanagas, this area was not associated with a residential environment for a long time. Previously, there were administrative and industrial buildings, garages, and a construction base producing concrete and wood products. Therefore, the development of “New Skansen” is also part of the broader Šnipiškės conversion, according to him.
