Regular military exercises simulating real situations are an important part of improving the combat readiness of the NATO multinational brigade in Latvia.

They strengthen unit cooperation and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to potential threats, thus contributing to the defense of Latvia and the entire NATO eastern flank.
On August 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (local and Lithuanian time), military transport convoys will travel from the Adazi military base to Daugavpils. Military equipment will move in five separate groups at certain time intervals to minimize disruption to general traffic.

The convoys will go to the headquarters of the 34th Infantry Battalion of the 3rd Latgale Brigade of the National Guard in Daugavpils.
On August 23, military transport convoys will return from Daugavpils to the Adazi military base.
