„We cannot evaluate the work of officers solely by budget numbers – we are talking about people, their safety, working conditions, and trust in the state. Therefore, in budget negotiations, we must seek solutions that would not only allow for increasing officers’ salaries but also consistently invest in their work environment and strengthening the services,“ said the minister.
As reported by the Ministry of Justice, the meeting focused heavily on officers’ safety, work challenges, their motivation, and long-term solutions that would help attract more officers to the services.
