“During the short period I have been leading the Government, I have already had about three or four meetings with the head of the Public Procurement Service, with the relevant specialists of the Ministry of National Defence, the heads of the Defence Resources Agency, and I have very clearly said that such pace does not satisfy me. I see a lot of inertia, I demanded that the use of this year’s budget be presented, and it also does not please me,” the Prime Minister said to journalists in Senieji Trakai on Friday.
“Currently it is 37%, and we are already halfway through the year. But there are two important elements here. Both the use, which is an investment in our security, and transparency. We need to hurry, but not forget transparency,” he emphasized.
