The attack drones struck the aircraft while it was preparing for a combat flight to carry out another series of strikes on Ukrainian territory: the first drone hit the front of the Su-24M, the second delivered a follow-up strike to the fuel tank area, ultimately destroying the aircraft.

According to the commander, on the same day, units of the 1st “Azov” Corps and the 2nd “Charter” Corps also carried out combat missions more than 100 kilometers away. Among the targets were logistics routes, ammunition depots, command posts, air defense systems, enemy troop concentrations, and aviation.
