According to him, the strongest wind should blow in the coastal area and the seaside region, but it will definitely be felt inland as well. Wind gusts will reach up to 15–20 m/s, up to 23 m/s on the coast (and right by the sea the water may even reach 24-25 m/s). It will be calmest in the northern edge of the country.

“I can reassure you that until August 22 the storm strength will be far off (we will not reach a catastrophic level), but the risk is increased. The problem is that trees and their leaves are wet due to rain (it will rain heavily in places), so they will be heavier. At this time of year (when trees have leaves) wind gusts of 15-20 m/s can cause more damage than, for example, in November-December (when there are no leaves on the trees).
On the map, maximum wind gusts are expressed in kilometers per hour, so I remind you:
50 km/h = 14 m/s
60 km/h = 17 m/s
70 km/h = 19 m/s
80 km/h = 22 m/s
90 km/h = 25 m/s
100 km/h = 28 m/s
Map (from the meteologix website). Maximum wind gusts on Saturday during the day. After reviewing several different weather models, it can be seen that the wind can cause the most damage in Southern Lithuania. There it will strengthen already at night,” writes G. Valaika.
