The leaders of “Rytas” took more than a month to find a new driver for the Vilnius team ship after dismissing the longtime strategist Giedrius Žibėnas at the end of May.
The head coach’s regalia were handed over to former G. Žibėnas assistant Nedas Pacevičius, and in just over a month, “Rytas” also assembled the player roster.
The latest moves by the Vilnius team included signing a contract with potential team leader Cassius Winston, retaining young talent Ignas Urbonas, and extending the contract with captain Artūras Gudaitis.

This summer, the Vilnius team also brought back former captain Gytis Radzevičius, signed contracts with Matas Jogėla, Michael DeVoe, Ricky Lindo, and Oskaras Pleikys, and extended cooperation with Gytis Masiulis and Kay Bruhnke. Augustas Marčiulionis and Martynas Paliukėnas had valid contracts after the last season.
