“Yesterday, after successfully completing the first Sciences Po Politics, Philosophy, Law and Economics course, my son Aleksas returned to Lithuania.

Since Monday, Aleksas has been looking for a free or paid 2.5-month internship – it can be any business, law firm, bank, ministry, state enterprise – anything where the experience would be useful in the future. I know that freshmen are often not accepted for formal internships.
Aleksas has a solid foundation in higher mathematics, quantitative methods, and economic theory, has represented Lithuania twice at the World Individual Public Speaking and Debate Championship (WIDPSC), and in my opinion – has quite strong negotiation and presentation skills. He also has experience with hard work – last summer he worked as a waiter at “Hotel PACAI, Vilnius”, that experience taught him a lot – thanks to Donatas Mekionis.

I believe that someone will definitely need a hardworking, smart, and much more cultured young man than me to carry out assigned or neglected tasks during the summer,” he wrote.
