Lithuanian hotels rated by the prestigious "Falstaff": which ones made it to the recommendation list?

The „Falstaff Nordics Hotel Guide 2026“ presents a total of 1,200 hotels in seven countries – Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Hotels were evaluated based on the environment, room comfort, wellness services, service, gastronomic offerings, and location. The rating system is based on reviews from members of the worldwide „Falstaff Gourmet Club“ and „Circle Club,“ which are reviewed and finalized by the „Falstaff Travel“ travel journalists’ commission.

58 Lithuanian hotels received recommendations from this prestigious guide, and 28 of them were rated 90 or more points out of 100 by „Falstaff“ experts. At the top of the list were Trakai’s „Esperanza Lake Resort,“ Vilnius’ „Grand Hotel Vilnius, Curio Collection by Hilton,“ and Palanga’s „Monist,“ each scoring 95 points.

Mark of the highest quality

Independent „Falstaff“ experts who evaluated our country’s hotels noted that Lithuania is one of the most attractive tourism destinations in the region – here, the baroque Old Town of Vilnius perfectly blends with a vibrant contemporary culture and a growing offer of luxury hotels, while the seaside and lakeside resorts offer a wealth of nature and wellness experiences.

„The international recognition of Lithuania’s tourism sector is the result of consistent cooperation between business and the state. Such evaluations strengthen the country’s competitiveness, encourage inbound tourism, and contribute to Lithuania’s economic growth. It is gratifying to see that our country’s hospitality sector is increasingly noticed and valued internationally,“ says Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation Guoda Burokienė.

Olga Gončarova, head of the National Tourism Promotion Agency VšĮ „Keliauk Lietuvoje,“ notes that such evaluations contribute to the overall recognition of Lithuania as a high-quality travel destination in foreign markets.

„Partnership with the prestigious „Falstaff“ guide is a strategically important step that allows presenting Lithuania as a destination of exceptional experiences. These evaluations act as a strong quality mark that will undoubtedly increase Lithuania’s visibility among discerning foreign travelers seeking uniqueness and top-level service,“ says O. Gončarova.

Today, guests value not only comfort or service quality – they seek authentic experiences, attention to detail, and sincere connection. I am glad that we manage to offer all this and at the same time contribute to the growth of the entire Lithuanian hospitality sector and the country’s recognition worldwide,“ says S. Rudzevičienė.
