The weekend competition presented many challenges for the drivers – the track surface constantly changed due to variable weather conditions. The athletes had to adapt to wet, dry, and uneven surfaces in places, but Bakchis demonstrated stable and confident driving throughout the event.
As the founder and CEO of the suspension manufacturer Feal Suspension, Bakchis successfully applied his technical knowledge on the track. His driven “Feal Suspension GT Radial Subimods BRZ” finished on the highest podium step. This was only the athlete’s third start with the new “BRZ” car, but the result showed that the new equipment did not diminish his ambitions to fight for the championship title.
In Friday’s qualification, Bakchis faced exceptional conditions – he was the only athlete to start from the dry line, but just as the run began, a heavy downpour hit the track. Despite this, he took 12th place in the qualification.

In Saturday’s tandem battles, Bakchis showed consistency both when leading and in the chase position. In the final, he faced multiple championship leader James Deane and after a fierce battle secured the victory.
After the finish, Bakchis was pleased not only with the result but also with the team atmosphere:
“I feel great having a car that is fun to drive, a team that is good to work with, and a family that supports me at every stage. When you enjoy the process and have competitive equipment, results come naturally.”
The victory in Orlando gave an additional boost in the fight for the season title. The fourth stage of the “Formula Drift” championship will take place on June 18–20 at Wall Stadium track. Bakchis will arrive there as the overall standings leader.
