Next to the deceased’s urn, a bouquet of white roses, the tricolor flag, as well as important relics could be seen.
The Speaker of the Seimas Juozas Olekas is expected to participate in the ceremony, with the wreath also laid by Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius and other officials.

Farewell to the deceased will also be possible on Thursday from 9 AM to 1 PM.
Afterwards, the procession will move towards Antakalnis Cemetery, where the politician will be buried in the Signatories’ Hill.
Farewell speeches will be given here, the deceased will be honored with a moment of silence, and the state flag will be handed over to her relatives. The ceremony will conclude with salutes and the singing of the Lithuanian anthem.

Had health problems
K. Prunskienė passed away last week at the age of 83. She was the first head of the Lithuanian Government after the restoration of independence and was actively involved in the country’s politics for several decades.
In 2012, the politician suffered a stroke. After that, her speech was impaired, and K. Prunskienė did not return to active politics due to her health condition.
