As reported by the channel 112, associated with Russian security forces, the explosion occurred in a square behind the residential quarter on Stoletov Avenue. According to preliminary data, the explosive device could have been placed in a trash bin or under a bench. It detonated near R. Shaheyev, who died on the spot from the sustained injuries.
There was also information about a woman who allegedly followed the traitor and might have been connected to the explosion. Later, Russian media wrote that she ended up there by accident.

Without a fight, handed over the only Ukrainian submarine to the Russians
Robertas Shaheyev was a Ukrainian war sailor, a 1st rank captain of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Naval Forces, commander of the submarine “Zaporizhzhia.” According to the State Bureau of Investigation, he handed over the only Ukrainian submarine without a fight, joined the Russian Black Sea Fleet, and served as deputy commander of the Russian 4th Separate Submarine Brigade in occupied Crimea.
