At about half past six in the morning, a man who approached his “Porsche” parked on Pušų Street saw that the left front headlight was half pried out, and a crowbar was stuck in the right one.

The car owner suspected that thieves tried to steal both headlights during the night. They managed to move one of them quite a bit, but when trying to pry out the other, it seems they failed and the tool remained stuck in the car.

“They just left it like that. The police were already here in the morning, now I’m waiting for the tow truck,” the owner said next to the damaged car.

Vilnius police confirmed that a report about the damaged “Porsche” was received on Wednesday morning.

“At 7:57 a.m. a report was received. The initial information was that the reporter’s ‘Porsche’ was damaged during the night. One front headlight was broken, the other scratched,” said Vilnius police spokeswoman Loreta Kairienė.

According to her, the officers who arrived at the scene were met by the car owner, born in 1988. He explained that he noticed the damaged headlights when he came to his car in the morning.

“The man has comprehensive car insurance, he did not file a statement. He was given a report number so he could contact the insurance and handle the incident documents,” said L. Kairienė.

Since the car owner did not file a statement with the police, a pre-trial investigation into the incident was not initiated.
