“When the season ended, I thought that was it. I wasn’t ready to announce it and I knew I needed more time to decide, but I was pretty sure I had played my last game. I was sincere in my last press conference when I said I had to look at myself and decide if I still loved this game. But I really do love it and I still have something to give it.
The past few weeks have been special. I’ve never been in a situation where I didn’t know what I should do, and I had more time to just think. I had a wonderful few months with the people I love, and I tried to make up my mind. This is my final decision. I’m not going there for the money. I’m not going for family. Why am I still playing?
I still want to sacrifice. I still want to work. I still want to try. I still want to fight, win, and feel the sensation of winning another title.

L. James will sign a two-year, $8 million USD contract with the ’76ers’, with an option to decide on his future before the second season.
