S.Larkinas represented another Istanbul club, Anadolu Efes, since 2018, played in the EuroLeague final three times, and won the tournament twice (in 2021 and 2022).

Now he is moving to Š.Jasikevičius’s ranks. S.Larkinas, who holds a Turkish passport, signed a two-year contract with Fenerbahçe.
The 33-year-old guard has earned up to 4 million dollars per year so far, but his salary at Fenerbahçe is expected to be lower.
“This decision was never about money. If I wanted, I could leave and earn 10, 12, or even 15 million dollars.
I would drive my Ferrari to training every day. But I want to become one of the best players of all time,” the guard said in the podcast “Off The Recourt.”

When asked why he decided to leave Anadolu Efes, which he represented for many years, S.Larkinas said the team promised him a big role but later did not keep that promise.
“I respect everyone. I am a warrior. Whatever you put me in the team with, I will go into battle with it. But I was told I would be a key player of this team, and then suddenly the ground was pulled out from under me. I fell and hit my head hard.

You say: ‘We cannot lose this player,’ but you still lose him. Then you say: ‘We cannot lose this one either,’ but you lose him too. You tell players one thing, and they end up doing something completely different,” S.Larkinas did not spare criticism of his former team.
The 180 cm tall player played as many as 226 games in the EuroLeague for the blue Istanbul team. Last season, due to injury, he played only 12 games, averaging 15.2 points, 4.2 assists, and 15.1 efficiency rating.
