„Kibirkštis“ introduced the coaching staff: it includes a former LKL basketball player

The team will continue to be led by Vilius Stanišauskas, who joined the club last season and has already won three championship titles after a successful debut. He will be assisted by the long-time team coach, legendary Lithuanian basketball player Sandra Linkevičienė. Arnas Labuckas, who serves as the sports director, will become even more actively involved in the team’s training and match processes as an assistant coach.

The team also retains physiotherapist Evelina Koriznaitė, and the club newcomer Benas Jonkus will be responsible for physical conditioning.

Head coach Vilius Stanišauskas shares: “I am glad that my assistant will continue to be Sandra, who can probably already be confidently called the symbol of ‘Kibirkštis.’ It is hard to imagine the ‘Kibirkštis’ team without her. Her experience as a former basketball player is valuable to everyone – both players and coaches.

Physiotherapist Evelina will continue to be with us. She is like a bridge between the coaches and the players.

A new physical conditioning coach, Benas, is joining the staff, whose initiative will help us improve. And, of course, Arnas Labuckas: seeing everything from the outside, doing a lot of unseen work, and always supportive.

It is important to trust each other in the team, not be afraid to discuss, and have different opinions – this way we will all improve together and be stronger.”

According to “Kibirkštis-TOKS” manager Eglė Jucevičiūtė, continuity is an important element in achieving even better results.

“We are happy that for the new season we managed to retain the majority of the coaching staff – this provides the team with stability, mutual understanding, and allows us to consistently continue the work started. Arnas’s decision to become even more actively involved in the coaching team this year is very encouraging. I believe that his experience, good knowledge of the team, and great energy will be a big advantage for both the team and the players.

The team will continue to pay great attention to players’ health, physical condition, and season preparation. The newly joined physical conditioning coach Benas will help us work even more consistently in this area. We have a well-coordinated, competent, and complementary team, so we look to the season with confidence,” says E. Jucevičiūtė.
