During the two days of the event, informal education institutions, private education centers, music, art and sports schools, cultural centers, and other children’s activity organizers will present themselves. Among the presented fields will be sports, dance, music, technology, programming, and foreign languages.
“In September, it is important for families not only to prepare for school or kindergarten – with the start of the new academic year, it is necessary to replan children’s extracurricular activities. The club fair provides an opportunity to get acquainted with different activities and their organizers in one place, and conveniently combine the visit to the event with other daily tasks. We shape the event program at Kaunas ‘Akropolis’ so that different visitor audiences can find relevant activities,” says Iveta Urbė, marketing project manager at Kaunas ‘Akropolis’.

Activities can be tried live
One of the main highlights of the fair is the opportunity to get to know the activities practically. Fair participants will present their activities interactively – organizing short educational sessions, demonstrations, showcase programs, practical exercises, and inviting to communicate with activity organizers. Children will be able to watch, ask questions, and most importantly, try out what attracts their attention themselves.
“We aimed to create an event centered on the child and their choice. Sometimes just a few minutes of trying a new activity is enough for a child to understand if it interests them. Therefore, we invite families to spend time on different activities and allow children to actively participate in choosing,” says Vita Grinkutė, event coordination manager at “Festivus.”

Focus on children’s physical and emotional well-being
The fair will also include specialists in children’s health and emotional well-being, as well as organizers of activities related to child development and meaningful leisure. Families will be able to learn more not only about extracurricular activities but also about activities and services dedicated to children’s physical and emotional well-being.
The club fair “Children Choose” will take place on September 18–19 from 11:00 to 20:00 at the event square on the 3rd floor of Kaunas ‘Akropolis’. Visitors will enjoy two days of activities, demonstrations, educational sessions, and discoveries for the whole family. The event is free, and it may be filmed and photographed for publicity purposes.
