K. Murauskas said he had business matters and meetings in Vilnius on Wednesday. He was traveling to the capital by bus and planned to return to Kaunas by train.

“However, the train time did not suit me – I would have been late for the gallery opening in Kaunas. So I decided to travel from Vilnius to Kaunas by bus,” Karolis said.

As K. Murauskas recalled, the journey was smooth after boarding the bus, but a small distance from the destination, an unpleasant incident occurred.

“At first, everything was completely normal. I was sitting calmly, we were driving, unaware of anything bad.

But near Kaunas, at the place where the bus was supposed to turn into the city center, it suddenly stopped. The driver tried to start it. Again. And again. Finally, we heard: ‘The tracks are gone. The bus won’t move anymore.’

Kaunas was already visible, but there were still several kilometers to go,” said the well-known hair stylist.

Karolis told the Žmonės.lt portal that there were two other passengers on the bus besides him: one was also going to Kaunas, and the other passenger was heading to Šakiai. The latter, having no other option, stayed with the driver to wait for help. However, Karolis, who was rushing to the event, decided to act differently.

“I had to get off. And then I realized I would have to walk along the highway. I admit – it was uncomfortable. Cars drive at high speed, and you walk on the shoulder not knowing what might happen.

At that moment, various thoughts were running through my mind. Would I stay alive here or not?

Fortunately, nothing happened,” shared K. Murauskas about his unusual experience.

Then unexpectedly, a rescuer appeared on Karolis’s path.

“After walking just a few dozen meters, I saw a car stopping. The driver approached and said: ‘I see the bus broke down. Shall I give you a ride to Savanorių Avenue?’

At that moment, I realized that there really are good people left. I want to sincerely thank the person who stopped and helped a complete stranger. God bless you and thank you very much!” the hair stylist rejoiced.

Karolis added that this story became a good lesson for him: “Sometimes it seems that saving a few minutes is very important. But is it really worth risking for them?

Life is unpredictable. And the kindness of a stranger can sometimes become a true salvation.

Let’s take care of ourselves. Let’s take care of each other. And never forget to stop when another person needs help. Be safe, loved, and take care of each other.”

K. Murauskas also assured the Žmonės.lt portal that he has no complaints against either the driver or the bus company.
