“Usually at this time business is just picking up, but this time we were already overwhelmed with apples in the first days. Some customers leave apples, others come and wait immediately until we press them, others call and inquire. In short, we are working on three fronts. The phone does not stop ringing, there is no shortage of people. Today by evening the yard will be full of apples,” – Agnė Vaitiekūnaitė rejoiced on Wednesday.

She revealed that they hope to maintain such a flow of customers throughout the remaining season: “The start is optimistic, so we hope to maintain a similar flow of customers throughout the remaining season. But, of course, nature is unpredictable, frosts can come and freeze the entire apple harvest.”

“The juice pressing season basically starts in September. This year there are definitely customers because there are apples. On average, we serve about 15–20 customers per day, of course, it all depends on the day and the weather.

On rainy days, we hardly get any people – no one wants to load apples or transport them to the juicery in such weather. It used to be a bit different, the flow of customers was more even, but now the influence of the weather is very noticeable. When it rains, you practically sit and wait, and when there is a nice day, there are so many customers that you barely keep up. But what can you do – this is seasonal work,” he said.
