“I can categorically tell you that Israel does not plan to forcibly relocate people from the Gaza Strip,” Ambassador Mike Huckabee told journalists during a visit to Palestinian-American communities in the West Bank.

The ambassador also called for “strict consequences” to stop violence in the occupied West Bank.

“Our clear message is that crime is crime, terror is terror. When people do this, they should expect to face strict consequences,” Huckabee told journalists during a visit to the West Bank town of Turmus Aya, home to many U.S. citizens, though he was not inclined to criticize Israel.

Huckabee stated that the Israeli government must ensure the safety of Palestinians in the West Bank following a sudden increase in settler attacks.

“One of the messages we send and will continue to send is that the people of these communities have the right to live safely and securely, and that the government must ensure that this happens,” the ambassador told journalists.
