In the first stage, athletes had to compete not only against each other but also with challenging weather conditions – the race was made particularly difficult by a strong crosswind.

Despite the difficult and windy start, an excellent result was demonstrated by Estonian Rait Ärm, representing the Lithuanian team “Energus,” who finished in second place.
“We are a Lithuanian team, so this is the most important start of the year for us. We have high hopes and expect that this competition and the previous race cycle will contribute to even better athletic form,” said team leader Ignatas Konovalovas. “We have high hopes for Rait Ärm, who is returning after a clavicle fracture.”

“Tour of Lithuania” is the only UCI 2.2 category professional road cycling race in the Baltic countries. In it, athletes compete not only for stage victories but also for important world ranking points. This year’s race takes place from May 27 to 31 and includes five stages in Tauragė, Kėdainiai, Utena, Kaunas, and Vilnius. More than 100 cyclists from 23 teams and four continents participate in the competition.
The Lithuanian team “Energus” is represented in this race by Raitas Armas, Jekabas Oliveris Skrapcis, Martinšas Pluto, Rokas Kmieliauskas, Dovydas Bružas, and Nikolas Klimavičius.
