According to VE.LT, it is still unknown exactly when it was committed. It was noticed back in November of last year.

The location of the incident was Antšunijai – a village in Tauragė district municipality, about 2 kilometers from Mažonai and about 5 kilometers from Tauragė.

In a small cemetery located in the village forest, one grave site was found vandalized. According to the Tauragė County VPK, the granite slabs placed on it were damaged.

According to VE.LT, relatives of the people buried in the grave site learned about the damage from acquaintances.

They contacted the cemetery caretakers and the local eldership. They waited a long time for an answer about who could have done it, but never received one.

Realizing that they would not find out anything by going this route, people decided to ask for help from law enforcement and filed an official statement with the police.

The damage to the granite slabs of the grave site was estimated at 2000 euros.
