The Seimas approved the amendments to the Law on Fibre Hemp after deliberation on Thursday: 59 members of the Seimas voted in favour, one against, and nine abstained.

The amendments propose to allow the production in Lithuania of hemp products for export with a psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content that would be permitted in the target export market, and would not be intended for use in Lithuania.
