Signs of violence noticed
The body of a woman born in 1937 was found on Monday at about 5:22 a.m. in an apartment on Nevėžio Street in Panevėžys.

According to the General Emergency Center, the death of the mother was reported by her son. He stated that the woman had died. However, the arriving medics noticed signs of violence on the elderly woman’s body and therefore informed the police about the incident.

The son of the woman, born in 1965, was detained. A pre-trial investigation was launched for the murder of a close relative or family member.
