On August 1, there were 145.7 thousand unemployed registered in the country – 2.9% (4.1 thousand) more than a month ago.

“At the moment, we see more signs of slowdown than weakening in the labor market. The mid-summer data once again confirms that the labor market is dynamic and constantly adapting to changing circumstances – some indicators remain stable, others temporarily slow down,” said Jurgita Zemblytė, head of the Monitoring and Analysis Department of the service, in a statement.
