Although the area allocated for growing cucumbers has decreased in recent years (in 2025 it was 773 ha, and in 2021 – 1,139 ha), the total yield increased due to better productivity. During the same period, it rose from 23.8 thousand to 28 thousand tons.
Cucumber productivity has increased significantly. In 2025, an average of 36.2 tons per hectare was obtained, in 2024 – 28.9 tons. Thus, productivity increased by more than a quarter in one year.

The cucumber harvest in 2025 was one of the largest in the past 15 years. More cucumbers than last year were grown only in 2011, when the harvest was 28.2 thousand tons.
