This year, a total of 957 illegal migrants have been denied entry to Lithuania. Last year, there were more than 1.6 thousand attempts to enter the country from Belarus in unauthorized places, and the year before last, this number reached 1002.
In total, since the beginning of the migration crisis caused by Belarus, Lithuanian border guards have prevented more than 25.5 thousand foreigners from illegally entering the country.
