On Thursday, at the council meeting, politicians will be asked to approve the submission of an application for the construction of a new universal sports hall. About 6.5 million euros would be sought. As announced, this hall would accommodate various sports: from ice hockey to football, table tennis, wrestling, and climbing.
It is indicated that the minimum number of spectators would be 230. Construction would cost about 12-15 million euros, and the municipality would contribute at least 57%. If the application is approved, funds for the project implementation would be planned in the 2027-2029 strategic activity plan.
However, even the idea itself has already faced criticism.

Representatives of the “Banga” football club plan to hold a picket before the council meeting on Thursday. 400 children attending football training and professional “Banga” athletes do not have suitable conditions to train in winter.
