“15min is a great media space for cultural initiatives and projects. For many years, we have been discussing culture here in various forms, organizing book collections, and publishing a special edition.
I believe that culture in such tense times allows us to clarify what is most important, what our values are. While thanking for this award, I want to also thank both the colleagues who contribute to all cultural ideas and the readers for whom 15min becomes an opportunity to get acquainted with cultural life,” said A. Ožalas.
The podcast “Valinskas knows” is one of the most popular shows of this genre in Lithuania – several times a month, Vaidotas Beniušis, Aurimas Perednis, and Arūnas Valinskas discuss political and social phenomena.
This September, the podcast celebrated its third anniversary.
“Attention to podcasts allows us to hope that artificial intelligence will not destroy journalism. Just as people prefer to watch imperfect athletes, despite the fact that robots may surpass them, people are more interested in watching discussions and opinions of other people rather than reflections of foreign intelligence,” says Vaidotas Beniušis.

“Media is not just about spreading narratives, but a place for conversation and understanding among different people,” says Žinių radio journalist Aurimas Perednis.
“I sincerely congratulate the three of us on such an unexpected but truly pleasant recognition. Thank you, dear colleagues. And the sincerest thanks go to our viewers and listeners. Dear ones, without you Valinskas would know nothing,” thanked Arūnas Valinskas for the award.

The awards were presented at the Romas Sakadolskis Journalism Forum, which annually brings together journalists, experts, scientists, and public figures to discuss the most important media trends and to foster traditions of quality, responsible, and ethical journalism in Lithuania.
