Thursday brought heavy rains to parts of Lithuania. People shared videos of heavy rain from different parts of the country on social media.

As announced by 15min, Klaipėda streets were flooded right after noon, and Skuodas was submerged in the evening.
Heavy rains also washed over Lentvaris, Prienai district, and Kaišiadorys district.
The latter also experienced impressive hail.
As Juozas Pauliukonis, a resident of Kaišiadorys district, shared on Facebook, “Nemaitoniai eldership, Ringailiai village. – it rained ice on July 23.”
He stated that he had never seen such a sight before. Moreover, it was filmed after the rain, but the ice cubes were still not melting.

However, on Saturday, it will still be “pressed” from the west and east by weakened cyclones, so there will be some rain there at night and in the early part of the day.

Saturday will be warmer, and the evening will be without rain, so for those celebrating or having a cozy evening – better news. Sunday will be even warmer and without rain,” the meteorologist provides optimism before the weekend.
However, the beginning of next week will not be as pleasant: “Unfortunately, on Monday and probably Tuesday, a rainy cyclone trough with atmospheric front clouds will again slip through Scandinavia and the Baltic into Lithuania. It will rain again, and thunder will rumble again.
Monday will still be warm in the eastern regions, but it will cool down in the western part. Tuesday will be not only rainy but also cool again.
From next Wednesday, according to current data, an anticyclone will reach Lithuania with dry, increasingly warming, and by the end of the week, significantly warmer weather. So summer will return again…”
