It turned out that the “Trakai Castle Arts Festival,” scheduled to take place from August 13 to 29, is canceled. The organizers announced this unexpected decision on their social media account.
The official statement said that the event will not take place due to unforeseen obstacles. “It is very unpleasant to start the week with such news, but this year the festival is canceled due to technical circumstances beyond the organizers’ control,” the representatives wrote, apologizing for the inconvenience caused and indicating that information about ticket refunds will be provided by “kakava.lt.”
Although initially the situation seemed like a usual organizational mishap, it soon took on a much more mysterious tone. In the comments section under the post, when one internet user asked about the exact reasons behind this decision, the organizers did not hide their resentment and revealed an unexpected version.

Their response suggests that the festival might have been the target of deliberate sabotage: “Unfortunately, someone really did not want this festival to happen and tried to prevent it by all possible means. Who it is, unfortunately, we do not know… but they succeeded… it is really very sad.”
