„Ecoservice“ manager Jurgita Nacevičienė stated that the delivered sorted waste was suitable for further processing in the factory tunnels.
„Yes, they are sorted, the biodegradable part is suitable for further processing in biological treatment tunnels and these are simply suitable wastes,“ J. Nacevičienė told BNS on Friday.
The company manager said that after „Energesman“ did not accept the waste, they were returned to the „Ecoservice“ territory: „Currently they (the waste – BNS) are with us.“
„Energesman“ manager Algirdas Blazgys confirmed to BNS that „Ecoservice“ waste was not accepted: „Yes, the waste delivered yesterday (Thursday – BNS) by „Ecoservice“ was not accepted into our territory.“
A. Blazgys explained that biologically degradable waste still needs to be processed, so he hopes that his company will be paid for it.
„We were supposed to receive biologically degradable waste that is not intended for incineration. But the biologically degradable waste will be handled by us. (We want – BNS) to be paid for it,“ the company manager explained.
„We issued an advance invoice to „Ecoservice“,“ he added.
Meanwhile, the head of the Vilnius County Waste Management Center (VAATC) told BNS that „Energesman“ is obliged to accept biodegradable waste.

„We found someone to handle (the waste – BNS), the waste is sorted. It is „Energesman“’s duty to accept it, this is biodegradable (waste – BNS), and they did not accept it and even caused a bigger critical situation. The complete abuse by that company continues,“ Marius Švaikauskas told BNS.
He emphasized that the factory is the only suitable place to put this type of waste.
„The only place that exists is in our territory, the MBA (factory – BNS) biotunnels,“ he stressed.
As BNS wrote, VAATC agreed on temporary waste sorting with the companies „Ekonovus“ and „Ecoservice“. The latter has been sorting waste since Wednesday, and „Ekonovus“ should start work on Saturday. Together, they will cover 65% of the waste sorting demand for now.
The VAATC head could not say the contract value but mentioned that their duration is up to six months. However, the exact duration will depend on how quickly VAATC takes over the factory operation.
