These changes will allow residents to more easily compare offers from different electricity suppliers, assess possible costs, and also find out what size bills individuals entitled to use the universal supply service could expect.
“These changes and feature expansions to our popular calculator will give users more opportunities to more easily assess possible electricity costs and make a comprehensive and favorable decision regarding the choice of electricity supplier,” says Justina Malakauskaitė-Puzinė, Advisor of the Data Management Department at VERT.
Additional features were decided to be implemented taking into account changes related to the extension of the electricity market liberalization period and VERT’s setting of prices for universal supply and universal supply for vulnerable consumers.
Including the universal supply price in the calculator ensures greater transparency and allows users to see the full range of electricity price comparisons in one place, even if this service is only available to certain groups of consumers.

VERT reminds that universal electricity supply tariffs apply to consumers who consume less than 1000 kWh of electricity per year and to consumers who had a universal supply contract until April 30, 2025, and whose premises were connected to distribution networks before July 1, 2022.
Tariffs for vulnerable consumers under universal supply apply to persons with vulnerable consumer status – receiving or entitled to receive financial social support, persons with disabilities, as well as recipients of social old-age pensions or compensations.
VERT’s electricity price comparison calculator is a digital tool that allows quick and convenient comparison of offers from different electricity suppliers based on individual electricity consumption. By entering the consumed electricity amount in the calculator, the user is presented with preliminary plan offers from the cheapest, and by choosing the most suitable option, a contract with the supplier can be concluded.
