About the project “Žygimantų 12” E.Montvidas spoke on the social network “Facebook”. He stated that this is not proof of love for the city and addressed the Vilnius city municipality.

“Dislike…. Obvious, brutal, even mocking dislike for the city…(the creative group of the architecture of these buildings and the developer are known)
Vilnius City Municipality, how can this be?”, wrote E.Montvidas.
Many commentators reacted to the post, and famous people also expressed their opinions. However, their assessment of the project is ambiguous.
“This is a horror of horrors,” wrote Dovilė Filmanavičiūtė.
“You won’t believe it, but I even really like it! I’m too lazy to argue widely, I can only present a VDA diploma,” expressed a different opinion Nomeda Marčėnaitė.
As the artist told the portal Žmonės.lt, such buildings do not belong on the waterfront.
“In my opinion, such buildings would be okay somewhere in a new, industrial district, but not on this waterfront, which is decorated with some of the most beautiful buildings in Vilnius…”, E.Montvidas told Žmonės.lt.

According to him, the new building does not integrate into the environment at all.
“I am puzzled by the chosen materials, no integration into the environment… a few years will pass and it will be even sadder,” the well-known man pondered.
As stated on the project website, “Žygimantų 12” is a residential apartment complex located in the first row by the Neris River, from whose windows residents will be able to see panoramic views of Vilnius Old Town.
The project includes 2 buildings with 27 apartments each.
The project won the “Golden Palette” award in April 2026 for the best public space interior.
