Here you can see R. Šumila conducting musicians performing an emotional piece.

“A sounding love letter to the beloved,” wrote “Los secretos de Pablo.”

The moments of the surprise were also shared by K. Gudmonaitė on social networks.

“My love surprised me – he arranged the arrangement himself for the ‘Los secretos de Pablo’ ensemble and conducted an excerpt from Mahler’s 5th Symphony – a love letter,” wrote K. Gudmonaitė.

The couple got engaged last July.

Kamilė and Ričardas talked about their relationship and meeting in an interview given back in 2025.

Kamilė: I think the first real meeting happened when our group “Kamanių šilelis” was invited to play at the then first-ever festival “Young as Vilnius.” It was the group’s first concert with an orchestra. I was terribly nervous! And here stands the conductor… so handsome… I remember we shook hands very formally: good day, good day. In Vingis Park – about 40 thousand spectators. I remember singing and feeling Ričardas behind me…

Ričardas: Yes, I supported you. Because I felt how nervous you were. That’s where we met and talked for the first time.

Kamilė: And then it kept happening that we met somewhere or both were invited. We gradually developed the idea of the saxophone opera. It seemed life kept bringing us together: meet here, meet there, talk here… And what did we do those couple of years? We tried not to see each other. We avoided meetings as much as possible and kept away from each other. Something was boiling inside, it was scary, what was happening… I was very afraid to fall in love. That’s why I kept my distance.
