“Gazprom Neftechim Salavat” is one of the largest oil chemical complexes in Russia. According to the news portal “The Moscow Times,” in 2024 the factory processed 7.2 million metric tons of crude oil, which accounted for 2.7% of all Russian processing volumes.
Ukraine has not yet commented on the strike.
