At that time, questions arise about the status of negotiations aimed at ending the war.
The White House indicated that D. Trump is close to a decision on a possible agreement, although Tehran claimed that there is still “no final agreement” on ending the war in the Middle East.

The Iranian state media report also denied several key elements of D. Trump’s description of the agreement, and sources called his remarks a “mixture of truth and lies.”
US sources told AFP that the agreement awaits D. Trump’s approval after weeks of negotiations over the conflict that has engulfed the Middle East and shaken the world economy.
On Friday, D. Trump attended a two-hour meeting in the White House Situation Room but did not make a decision.
“President D. Trump will only make an agreement that is beneficial to Americans and meets his red lines,” a White House official later told AFP.
“Iran can never have a nuclear weapon,” the official added.
D. Trump announced the meeting in a long social media post, reiterating long-standing demands that Iran agree never to develop a nuclear weapon and open the vital shipping route in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeilis Baqaei (Esmaeilis Bagajis) responded, stating to state media that this Islamic republic “said goodbye to the word ‘must’ 47 years ago.”
He added that the exchange of messages continues, but “a final agreement has not yet been reached.”

According to the state news agency IRNA, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian (Masudas Pezeškianas) said in a phone call with the Emir of Qatar that Iran is ready to reach a “dignified system” to end the war.
In his post, D. Trump said that Tehran will remove mines from the Strait of Hormuz and end the blockade of the waterway “without any fees,” and the US will lift its parallel blockade of Iranian ports.
Both countries will also coordinate the removal and destruction of Iran’s enriched uranium, he said, adding that “no money will be exchanged until otherwise notified.”
However, the Iranian news agency Fars quoted sources saying that Tehran demands “the immediate release of $12 billion (10.2 billion euros) of frozen Iranian assets” before moving to the next stage of negotiations.
Regarding the free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, sources said that “such conditions are not in the text of the agreement,” and D. Trump’s comment about the destruction of Iran’s nuclear materials “is essentially unfounded.”
E. Baqaei also told state television that currently “there are no negotiations” on Iran’s nuclear program. Meanwhile, Iran’s top diplomat implied that the US is blocking the agreement with its approach to negotiations.
