How to prepare the pits?
Use only healthy, clean, and completely dried pits for the pillow. Cracked pits should be discarded because the kernel inside can release cyanide.
Preparation process:
- Wash the pits, place them in a pot, cover with water, and boil for about 20–30 minutes.
- Rub them again by hand to remove any remaining pulp residues.
- Rinse well and spread out in a single layer.
- Dry for several days in a well-ventilated place or in the oven at a very low temperature with the door slightly open.
- It is important that there is no moisture left in the pits – otherwise, an unpleasant smell or mold may develop.

How to sew the pillow?
The pillow is best sewn from sturdy cotton or linen fabric. Leave one edge open, fill it with pits up to about two-thirds of the volume so they can move freely, and sew it tightly closed.
It is not recommended to use synthetic fabrics, metal decorations, or zippers.
How to use as a heater?
Heating time is not the same for all pillows. It is safest to start with about 30 seconds in the microwave at about 600 W power.
