However, E.Mažeikis says that neither the possibility that the drone was disoriented nor the version that it was a deliberate provocation by Russia can be ruled out.

“The question, of course, is complicated, I, like the president, do not have a crystal ball – he at least has special services, I have no one to ask. But my understanding of radio-electronic warfare against drones deviated from their course is based more on professional experience,” said E.Mažeikis.

He also explained why, even after shooting down the drone with a fighter jet, explosives believed to have been transported by it were later found on the ground and neutralized on Tuesday by “Aro” officers.
